Final PUD approval for Savannah Quarters Southeast Quadrant, Phase 6 and the development standards. Steve Wohlfeil of HGB&D presented this request to the PUD review board for their review and recommendation. Mr. Wohlfeil recapped the different phases of the Savannah Quarters Master PUD Plan. He discussed the purpose of a PUD District is to allow mixed uses, encourage flexibility in land planning that will result in improved design and provide more open space. He explained the current request is for final PUD approval for Phase 6 and the development standards. Phase six consists of 300 single-family dwelling units on 115 acres with the following amenities: a pavilion, a playground and a swimming pool. The tract is located south of the spine road on the east side of the Pooler Parkway. There will be no back-to-back lots, plenty of open space, an 11-acre lake and some pocket parks. The average lot size is 58’ x 133’ (7714 sq. ft.) even thro the minimum lot width allowed is 50’ at B.S.L. The average size of the homes is 1750 square feet and average cost is $175,000. Cotter Christian talked about the proposed landscaping and buffering along the Spine Road. A Homeowner’s Association with restrictive covenants will maintain the open space areas. With no other comments, a motion was made by Wilson Roberts to recommend final PUD approval for Savannah Quarters, Phase 6 and the development standards. Motion was seconded by Don Taylor and passed without opposition.
There being no further business to come before the PUD Review Board, the meeting was adjourned.
